This August, Peruvian born and raised Chef Diego Oka will be visiting Atlanta’s Mandarin Oriental hotel from Miami, Florida for a weekend sure to be filled with culinary delights. Chef Oka is the Executive Chef of La Mar by Gaston Acurio at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami and will be in Atlanta from August 20th to the 22nd. Chef Oka has worked in major cities such as Lima, Bogota and San Francisco.
He is known for blending Peruvian and Japanese flavors to create a unique take on traditional dishes. His offerings will include beef dish Lomo Saltado, seafood Cebiche (yes, with a b) and the octopus tartare topped Causa Olivo.
Restaurant goers will be able to taste these rare and exclusive offerings by ordering a la carte at lunch, or indulging in a four course tasting menu at dinner. Either way, guests will certainly be pleased by this international chef’s fusion inspired plates.
